Seg\u00fan un estudio del Instituto M\u00e9dico Howard Hughes dirigido por el bi\u00f3logo molecular Joseph Takahashi del Centro M\u00e9dico Southwestern de la Universidad de Texas, la <b>restricci\u00f3n de calor\u00edas<\/b> combinado con alimentaci\u00f3n con restricci\u00f3n de tiempo <b>longevidad sustancialmente mayor<\/b> de los cientos de ratones que participaron en el experimento.<\/p>\n<p>El estudio de cuatro a\u00f1os del equipo de Takahashi concluy\u00f3 que el <b>dieta hipocal\u00f3rica<\/b> por s\u00ed solo hab\u00eda prolongado la vida de los animales en 10%. Pero alimentar a los ratones con la dieta s\u00f3lo por la noche, cuando los ratones estaban m\u00e1s activos, <b>logr\u00f3 prolongar su vida en -nada m\u00e1s y nada menos que- 35%<\/b>.
