How to pray it and what the medal represents
The Catholic Church sees the medal as a sacramental, a sign that helps one remember the faith. It is not a charm: what sustains the prayer is trust in God, not the object.
Pray calmly, ideally at a fixed time, and then talk to God in your own words. If you are going through a time of anxiety or heavy burden, also seek support from someone you trust, such as a priest, a pastor or a health professional.
