Diego Murillo receives the Gold Medal from the College of Veterinarians of Pontevedra

The president of the AMA, the Dr. Diego Murilloreceived the Gold Medal from the Illustrious Official College of Veterinarians of Pontevedrain a massive and affectionate act of tribute presided over by the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, and which was filled with emotion by the presence of family, colleagues and representatives of important institutions.

Furthermore, they attended Mayor of Pontevedra, Miguel Anxo Fernández; the second vice-president of the Congress of Deputies, Ana Pastora; the president of the College of Veterinarians of Pontevedra, Luis Nunez Desireand the presidents of the Colleges of Veterinarians, Doctors and Pharmacists from various provinces, who wanted to show their gratitude to Dr. Murillo for his commendable contribution to the Spanish healthcare scene as a healthcare professional and also as founder of the AMA.

According to his words, Receiving this important distinction represents “a great satisfaction and a great honor”, in addition to producing “a great emotion” because “it is awarded to me by one of the Colleges that supported me and fully trusted in the AMA”.

During his speech, which was greatly applauded by those present, the president of the AMA expressed words of appreciation for veterinarians, a profession “deserving of the highest recognition” and which “substantially contributes to the improvement of public health and respect for the environment, inherent to the care of animals".

Dr. Diego Murillo also referred AMA, “an entity made up of basic pillars: solidarity, help and trust”which, in fact, is the only one specialized in the sector and, therefore, “is attentive and fully involved” in the needs of Colleges, General Councils and other health institutions.

Currently, there are more than 750,000 AMA policyholders, which also has one and a half million contracted products and 100 buildings throughout Spain. “Both in the world of insurance and in the world of health we occupy an important place, which was possible due to our work but also because you believed in our project”, concluded Diego Murillo.
